Assessment Procedure of Different Applications
Assessment of notification to conduct a practice
- All notifications received to the Council is registered by the relevant Scientific Officer assigned for medical or industrial applications
- In case of incomplete applications or requested information are not adequately provided for assessment, the Scientific Officer will inform the applicant and obtain required information
- After receiving all relevant information, the assessment is forwarded to the Deputy Director and then to the Director (Authorization). With the recommendation of the Director (Authorization), the assessment is submitted to the Director General for final decision.
- The Applicant will be informed whether the practice is exempted from the regulatory control or approval is required for facility plan or import/export of radioactive material/ X-ray machines
Assessment of facility plan approval
- Requests made for facility plan approval is registered by the relevant Scientific Officer assigned
- In case of incomplete applications or requested information are not adequately provided for assessment, the Scientific Officer will inform the applicant and obtain required information
- After receiving all relevant information and payment is completed, the applications and relevant assessment form are forwarded to the Deputy Director
- Deputy Director assess the application and forward it to the Director (Authorization)
- Director (Authorization) will submit the assessment and plans with his recommendation to the Director General for his final decision
- Upon receipt of the decision to issue an approval, the Scientific Officer prepare the plan approval documents and submit to the applicant
Assessment of import/export authorization of radioactive materials/X-ray machine
- Requests made for import/export of radioactive material/X-ray machines are registered by the relevant Scientific Officer
- In case of incomplete applications or requested information are not adequately provided for assessment, the Scientific Officer will inform the applicant and obtain required information
- After receiving all relevant information and payment is completed, the assessment is forwarded to the Deputy Director
- Deputy Director review the assessment and forward it to the Director (Authorization)
- Director (Authorization) will submit the assessment and plans with his recommendation to the Director General for his final decision
- Upon receipt of the decision to issue an authorization, the Scientific Officer prepare the authorization documents and submit to the applicant
Assessment for issuance of a licence
- The Applications submitted for licencing of facilities is registered by the Scientific Officer assigned and check for the notification form. If notification form is not submitted a request is made for submission of notification form
- In case of incomplete applications or requested information are not adequately provided for assessment, the Scientific Officer will inform the applicant and obtain required information
- After receiving all relevant information and payment of application processing fee is completed, the assessment is done by the Scientific Officer and forwarded to the Deputy Director. Proforma invoice is issued for the application, and it will be sent to the applicant
- Deputy Director review the assessment and forward it to the Director (Authorization)
- Director (Authorization) will submit the assessment with his recommendation to the Director General for his final decision
- Upon receipt of the decision to issue a licence and settlement of the licence fee, the Scientific Officer prepare the licence documents and submit to the applicant
The above procedure may vary on the issuance of licence for new/renewal/modifications.
